Neil Jariwala, MD

Bio

Dr. Jariwala is a U.S. Board-Certified Psychiatrist who earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine and completed his general psychiatry residency at Vanderbilt University. With over 12 years of experience in child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry, he specializes in the treatment of anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Dr. Jariwala is recognized for his work with complex psychiatric cases, particularly those involving coexisting medical and mental health conditions that require careful medication management and multidisciplinary coordination. He values thoughtful, individualized care and works closely with patients to develop effective, personalized treatment strategies.

A passionate advocate for patient and clinician education, Dr. Jariwala believes that education is foundational to high-quality psychiatric care. He emphasizes collaborative, transparent decision-making and actively mentors clinicians, fostering clinical excellence, confidence, and continuity of care across care teams.

Dr. Jariwala is deeply committed to creating measurable community impact by expanding access to mental health services in underserved and high-need areas. As a leader in the development and expansion of Better Behavioral, formerly Virtual Consult MD, he has helped establish and grow community-based mental health clinics that serve diverse populations, reduce barriers to care, and improve continuity of psychiatric services. Through outreach-driven models, these clinics have increased access for thousands of patients who might otherwise go untreated.

Through his leadership, mentorship, and commitment to community-centered care, Dr. Jariwala continues to advance equitable, high-quality mental health services while supporting the next generation of psychiatric providers.
